gprolog won't compile

Sorry for e-mailing all of you guys but yours are the only e-mails I found to be associated with GNU Prolog. There are two problems:

1) it won't compile with gcc 3.4.3 on Gentoo because of those FC macros at the ends of declarations

2) but even if you fix that, when it goes to build fd2c.pl
gplc -c --fast-math fd2c.pl
it apparently falls into a loop and never breaks out
