The ifconfig is not finished (flag support is missing entirely, and thus it
is not fully usable) and definitely doesn't have all features from the
system's ifconfig - although it is extensible and can be adopted to the
system's native command line syntax in addition to the GNU syntax.
(In addition, the output is formattable, which makes it a pretty weird
polymorphic piece of software).

You need to enable it manually in configure.ac.
