In that case you may want to fill the assignement papers, to get those
mundane things out of the way.

ifconfig, mount etc .. are messy business.  Because they have a lot of
platform dependent code and unfortunately there are no stds(POSIX etc ...)
to help in the tasks.

But since speed is not the focus here, to have a nice common architecture
would be great ... but as usual one quickly realised that it is not
easy to fold everybody with in the same mold and sometimes you want
to take advantage of the rich possibility of a platform and hit a wall.
