   I like the idea of a distro looking at using us for their boot
   floppies.  It means that we might get a decent set of bug reports
   and fixes.

The idea is all nice and that, but if you consider what would happened
if we start using gnulib then you will quickly see that supporting
small systems will be almost impossible.

If someone needs a small ping, or really small utilities then I really
would suggest something like busybox+clibc or their like.
