Hi Ryan,

I really cannot imagine that th eversion 3.6.6 of your GNU gv Mac port does not run at all, as it has been released last year AFAIR in September. But the bug report I got today states that it does not run at all. I do not have access to a mac so I cannot verify that. Can you do a test opening any postscript file you want?

Thanks

--- Begin Message --- Subject: [bug-gv] gv 3.6.6 Macports Date: Wed, 28 Jan 2009 09:51:05 -0700 I just rebuilt my Macports and get the following when I try to run gv 3.6.6:

gv idl.ps
Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'translations' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'Translations' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'Translations' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'Translations' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'Color' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'String' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'TranslationTable' to 'InitialResourcesPersistent' conversion.
Warning: No type converter registered for 'translations' to 'Meta' conversion.
Bus error

And it crashes there.  gv worked for me previously (I probably updated my Macports a month ago and that version worked fine).  Also, if I view the file directly with gs it works.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Bob
