[bug-gv] Large file makes gv crash |

Hi.
I have a somewhat large (14 MB) postscript file that causes gv (v
3.6.2) to crash when i try to read past certain limit.
The file is produced by latex ... -> dvips ... -> bigfile.ps. The file has
following set of separately numbered pages:
1 = coverpage,
5 = introductory text,
515 = index
1527 = actual body
2048 total pages (= 2^11, strange coincidence?)
On the left, gv has the scroll list containing page numbers. That list has
numbers 1,1,2,3,4,5,1,2,3,...,515,1,2,3,4, ... ,1116,1117. Clicking left
mouse button on any of these numbers works fine, corresponding page is shown
on main window. The problem appears when I try to go past that last page.
This propbelm is repeatable on at least 2 computers. Both are debian etch,
latest distro updates installed. One pc is Acer Travelmate 2440, 1.5GB ram,
other is a no-name desktop system with 1GB ram.
There is no problem with file on either pc if use kghostview to
view it.
So it is a gv problem, not a ghostscript one.
I can provide more info and even the whole file if someone wants to test the
problem with that.
Could you please make the file available for testing purposes?
Other than this feature, gv works nice for me: it has no thick extra frames
around the main window, and the zoom box tool is great.
I am glad you like gv :)
Thanks for your report. Please report the extra information we need in
order to investigate the problem.
