We have a very large automount map at our site with over 200 Linux
boxes. This means it almost more often the case than not that some
volume is NFS mounted from a server that is down.
When doing a 'df', it will hang when it gets to that system which
is not unexpected. But when doing a 'df /specific/vol' where
/specific/vol is a perfecting good working NFS mount, it still
hangs. Doing an strace reveals that df even when giving a specific
volume still goes out and checks every single volume mounted.
This make df a near useless program for us.
