But now that September has finally rolled around, the once unwavering self-belief I had about being able to walk straight into a new job is starting to slowly erode.
I've been watching a bit of TV, reading a bit, and surfing the net for the rest of time.
They are, it has to be said, really terrible; but at the same time, deliciously terrible.
And I did end up having a truely fantastic summer.
This comes after almost a year of broadcasting the show here in the UK with the strange blur in the corner.
But it was a controlled fright, because I always knew I was in no actual danger. As such, with the continuing televisation of all the Rebus stories, the Oxford must earn a fortune in location fees from all the film crews passing through.
And then, at exactly one o'clock, she fired.
You'd happily pay twice as much elsewhere, and hear people only half as terrible!
What I didn't realise was that they were actually filming scenes inside the bar, while us customers enjoyed our drinks in the adjoining side room. The clue's in the name.
And the rest is just down to finding the time to edit and upload the files on a regular basis. But it was a controlled fright, because I always knew I was in no actual danger. We had a lot of great food, a little bit too much wine, and walked for miles around the city.
And where is their remembrance? And for that, you can't help but enjoy their efforts. Certainly, several of the places I visited were mobbed with people, and some were turning away visitors. As such, with the continuing televisation of all the Rebus stories, the Oxford must earn a fortune in location fees from all the film crews passing through. I think you'll find that there is a warning.
All I'd need would be a laptop and perhaps some recording software. So in addition to hearing the preview live on the night, we'll also get all the tracks to make up our own sampler CD to keep.
But that hasn't quite happened. But in contrast, today has been especially unproductive. A couple of my old friends from when I used to live in Yorkshire came up to visit Edinburgh for the weekend, and I met up with them.
Now admittedly, for a couple of hours I actually did some productive job searching.
But, inevitably, we gradually all became a bit lazy about keeping in touch.
A couple of my old friends from when I used to live in Yorkshire came up to visit Edinburgh for the weekend, and I met up with them. They tell you that it's going to fire at one o'clock. Federal Reserve signals a readiness for a more aggressive tightening stance at Tuesday's Federal Open Market Committee meeting, as some are expecting. It's certainly been the stumbling block for a lot of jobs that I've gone for. This departing friend had organised his final farewell drinks in one of Edinburgh's most famous public houses. But no matter about that. So I only had a couple.
They are, it has to be said, really terrible; but at the same time, deliciously terrible. And for that, you can't help but enjoy their efforts. But sometimes being overwhelmed with activity is unavoidable, and so this GTD idea intrigues me.
