looks pretty ok for me.  However setup `xwem-default-format' like
that:

    (setq xwem-tab-default-format " %*%#%I %n")

in your xwemrc.  This will disable using icons in tabs.  Most probably
you will see some text in tab using such format.

That is definitely NOT ok.  xlib-xpm or xlib-img does not work
properly for you.  Could you post your xdpyinfo here so we probably
will track the problem.  xlib imaging is most hackerish thing in xlib.
