I Agree,Many have mentioned this in the past. A GUI indeed should be pleasing to the eye. Even if the appearance may be nothing more than a trend. I believe in this case that the extension are more of an improvement than a trend. I wish I could help in this respect but alas I have a meager understanding of the X world.
