Wget2 was meant to implement bleeding edge technology - but TFO has been
introduced many years ago, so I'd consider it mainstream meanwhile. Of course
there is incompatible technology out there, same goes even for HTTP 1.1 (some
servers only talk 1.0 until today) and many other extensions / standards.
Is there any reason why Fedora doesn't have a system-wide configuration file
like `/etc/wget2rc`?
Because if there is, all kinds of options can be changed in there for better
wget1 compatibility, whatever the Fedora maintainers think is good for their
users. Actually, this is exactly the use case we had in mind when we added this
configuration feature to wget/wget2.
