I've tried to install the binary to /bin by typing the command myself:

`~/wget2> /bin/install -c -m 644 src/wget2 '/bin'
/bin/install: cannot create regular file '/bin/wget2': Read-only file system
`

Looks like the problem may be the read-only file system which I mentioned 
earlier. Do you want me to ask in the Official Haiku forum? Maybe it's better 
than just guessing.
