[vile] No syntax highlighting in gnome-terminal

Hi all,

I've installed vile on my Fedora 23 machine. When I open a C source file, it loads cmode correctly, but I do not have any syntax coloring. I have checked that /usr/lib64/vile/vile-c-filt.so exists. I'm executing vile inside gnome-terminal 3.18.2. Am I missing something?
