yes - I think that's the only regression.  I have seen a minor problem
with the extended colors applied to linebreaks, e.g.,

~with set-extra-colors
        linebreak reverse
~endwith

can leave the first column highlighted after a search (something
like that).  If the nohl bug isn't aggravating many people, I'll
work on the highlighting bug for 9.8g ... after what I'm promised
for mawk and lynx ...
