[VM] sybillin warning messages at start

Hello,
I'm a very old user of VM under xemacs.
I'm getting some messages at vm start that i don't understand :
(1) (custom/warning) custom: widget custom-variable, option 
vm-coding-system-priorities has no associated group

(2) (custom/warning) custom: widget custom-variable, option vm-mime-ucs-list 
has no associated group

Im running vm 8.0.12 under xemacs 21.5  (beta31) \"ginger\" XEmacs
Lucid" under gentoo with xft and mule support.

I'm having a lot of errors with VM decoding some base64 emails and
emails with accents.
any clues would be welcome.
