At least runnin on Windows (CYGWIN) the speedup seems to be much less
in one of my programs:
1.2.1: 50853 ms
1.2.5: 40548 ms
1.2.6: 40348 ms
Especialy the difference between 1.2.6 and it's predecessor 1.2.5
seems to be irrelevant. The gain agains the stable release should be
estimated as 20% not 40%.
