I can make both replacements in the unifont_jp version in the next
release, because it is such a new font for the Unifont package. That
would also allow others to compare the versions in unifont and
unifont_jp to provide feedback if they prefer the original Unifont
version. Because I just released Unifont 13.0.01, I would like to
wait a while to see if any bug reports come in for that release so I
can correct those at the same time. That would also give me time to
make some other cosmetic changes I'd like to make in Unifont.
I have also updated the page on Japanese fonts, and have posted a
utility program I wrote to convert FONTX2 fonts to BDF fonts there.
Please see the new information about FONTX2 fonts on this page and let
me know if you spot any errors:
http://unifoundry.com/japanese/index.html
I don't think the fontx2bdf program will become part of Unifont, so if
you spot bugs in it just email me directly about them.
Thank you,
