Hi,

Hi!,

So if I understand your question correctly, you want something like a library that contains project save states, where for each project save state you can
set a description string ?

That would be extremely useful since this would integrate a backup and documentation system of an ongoing project.

Using the automated backup system is indeed not a good fit. You can do it by hand, saving the project.tpf file each time you want a state and give it that
name or so.
When you want to go back to that state, remove the current project.tpf file, and copy one of the saved project-your-state-here.tpf file to project.tpf if
you understand what I mean.

What exactly is the purpose of such a list of saved states ?

It would give the possibility to rework a piece from an older state when it was going the wrong way.

Hope this helps. And Happy new year everyone !!!!! :)

You 2 JC!
I think you replied off list, so we/I missed your reply. Thanks for jumping in
so quicky though!

is there any possibility to save a status of a project, copy it and
work on from this copy? Somehow I wasn't successful (on OS X).

In short, yes, but I'm not sure to what degree you want this functionality,
and what purpose does it serve?

(See above.)

It might be something that more people would like to have, in which case it
would be good to have a generic solution to this feature request.

Maybe a special key command for "save documented" which could be retrieved for backup from a second list.

Best whishes,
Achim
