Yes, that's why I shortened the part describing the interface a little. I
thought it was too complicated to understand for someone who never tried it
on his own.

It installs alright. /usr/bin is correct AFAIK. All packages handled by the
packet manager should install in /usr, only manually installed stuff
(configure/make/make install) should go to /usr/local.

No it didn't.
