Tested with Emacs 27.2, Tramp "2.4.5.27.2". Calling
--8<---------------cut here---------------start------------->8---
/usr/bin/emacs -Q /adb::/sdcard/tmp
--8<---------------cut here---------------end--------------->8---
No problem to remove a file "djclient (1)" from dired, which was created
before.
However, the file does NOT display as "djclient\\ (1)" in dired. What
have you changed?
Could you please rerun my test, using "emacs -Q", and nothing else?
Best regards, Michael.
