Thank you. I had to apply LANGUAGE as environment variable instead of
LANG (even though LANG affects the current-language-environment
variable of Emacs). Now it uses English locale and it works.
However, I didn't mange to apply the patch. Emacs is installed via snap
and I learned that it is not easy to modify files within snap as it
applies a read-only file-format. So I will wait for the next version.
