Once Tramp knows the multi-hop path the first time, you can use just the
last hop as remote file name.
"/ssh:host1.mydomain.edu|sudo:host1.mydomain.edu|ssh:slave:/etc/somefile.txt"
is equivalent to "/slave:/etc/somefile.txt" then. How could Tramp
decide, whether this is the slave via host1.mydomain.edu or host2.mydomain.edu?
