But the bundled version (2.0.58-pre) does suport old syntax and does
not support tramp-default-proxies-alist'.
I think tramp should provide transition period; for example,
notify a warning that old syntax is deprecated and set 
`tramp-default-proxies-alist'.
The absence of transition period is high-handed approach FOR USERS, I think,

As for me, I will install the latest version in the site-lisp directory.
