Hi again,Still working on the software renderer, I have added some small things and are now cleaning things up.
I got support for 'leaning perspective', a view with a skew in other words, this was the one obstacle of my old engine.
I got support for texture mapping of the ground and sky, the bump mapping and height fields are still broken, this is the main issue now.
I had a problem with aliasing in the old engine, ( didn't use enough bits :-) ), which should be gone now, and the fixed point trigonometric functions works much better.
The models doesn't work right , still working on them, will do wireframes first.
I am concentrating to get a good framerate, and clean code at the moment, so any suggestions of what would be most interesting to have implemented ?
So if you got a tip of exactly where to start to patch the rendering engine into top10 i think it might start to work soon. In other words, give me a hint of where to look for the interface, ( files ).
The developement is done on a 586 SX, 150 MHz and gives about 30 fps at 320x240 in an X WIndow, so performance should be adequate.
Will be nice to hear from you.
