/usr/lib/libpng12.so -> libpng12.so.0

/usr/lib/libpng.so -> libpng.so.3

...which I think is sufficient, no?

You surely mean loch/Makefile at VTKLIBS=? I tried that, but to no avail.

The problem there is that I am unable to find a rpm for Suse 10.0 or a 
compatible one either in the install sources or on the net; because that I 
had to compile it in the first place (being lazy as usual:). But I keep 
searching.
