    Most of the tests are coming back as skipped (with "make check").

In case you didn't already figure it out:
make -C tp/tests long-checks

    I don't know what it means to regenerate the tests.

As you may have seen, all the tests (including long-checks) passed after
your @raggedright change, so there's nothing to regenerate.  Which
indicates a missing test IMHO, but anyway ...
