[Synaptic-devel] apt-get bug can not connect

hi there I am using apt-get and synaptic and there is
a 
bug I believe in apt-get some where that I really need
you to tell them about. others around the net are
having the same sort of errors with apt-get and
because apt-get is having these errors, errors are in
synaptic as well 

apt-get seems to think that all it repositories have
the 
IP address of 1.0.0.0 and that is the address it is
trying to connect to. funny but that IP address does
not exist at all

I am using mepis 6.0 alpha1 [tryed 3.4.3 and aplph
2]and have tryed different distros using apt-get with
synaptic and are getting the same errors except for
one distro which is the first distro which I got to
use apt-get and synaptic this was the first time and
since then I have never see it work gen this was
Xandros 3.0 open circulation addiction since then I
moved to mepis 3.4.3 and tyred their new beta's for it
stopped working since i changed from xandros and it
never to work agen. and I have not changed my hard
ware or any thing nor ISP rooter or any thing hardware
related not even a moues, after I used mepis 3.4.3 I
installed Xandros 3.0 and apt-get and synaptic work
fine 

here is to posts of fullums which has me and other
users with these problems and rember we have tyred
every thing to get apt to work, all the obvious things
such as apt-get clean to fire wall's

and the problems are present with ubuntu uses as well
gess what I tried two versions of ubuntu and the newer
on same old problems


o and by the way you have a list of distros that use 
synaptic but you do not have mepis down as one that
uses synaptic on your web site? they are on the top 4
on distro watch
