[Synaptic-devel] Ambiguous error message |

Hi,
I just noticed (with synaptic 0.53.4-1) that the message in the "Could
not mark all packages for installation or upgrade" dialog are a bit
unclear:
gksu:
Depends: libatk1.0-0 but 1.6.1-3 is to be installed
Depends: libpango1.0-0 but 1.4.1-2 is to be installed
I couldn't really figure out what this was about, and it wasn't too
helpful that in gksu's properties window I didn't think about
"Dependencies of the latest version", but always looked at
"Dependencies". :-) I believe it would be more obvious to use more
detailed messages, like apt does:
gksu: Depends: libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.7.2) but 1.6.1-3 is to be installed
Depends: libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.5.2) but 1.4.1-2 is to be
installed
Best regards,
Andreas
