"aktualisieren" is the default translation used in the Gnome and Windows
desktop for "refresh". I haven't seen a translation of upgrade/update in
Gnome, but in Windows it is also "Aktualisierung" (noun) e.g. windows
update. It could be translated with "Aufrüsten", too, but this is very
ugly.

So I will perhaps use "Liste aktualisieren" and "Alle aktualisieren" in
the toolbar and "Aktualisieren" on the button - the connotation with
package is given through the other buttons hopefully.

But it could be worth considering to use "System aktualisieren" and not
"Alle aktualisieren". In the current English version we use "Upgrade
All".

What do you think about this?

By the way you can take a look at the current upgrade dialog in the
development tree. It sounds quiet ok in English but the German
translation is horrible, since the word "aktualisieren" appears so
often.
