Hello All,
I am organizing a special session on agent-based modeling at the 2009 ASME Computers and Information in Engineering Conference. This is a gathering of engineers with primary interest in computational technologies. I would encourage the agents community here at SWARM to submit papers to this conference. I believe that the engineering community is just warming up to complex system/agent-based modeling. The regulars at the CIE conference have strong analytical and computational backgrounds (differential equations, finite elements etc). There will be lots of opportunities for synergistic discussions.I believe both groups can gain from this. In my own case (I am a mechanical engineer who fiddling with graphics cards), my interaction with people at SWARMFest and AGENTS opened up an entirely new world of complex system..
