Special Issue of the Journal of the Operational Research Society

Progress in Simulation Research

Guest Editors: Simon Taylor, Stewart Robinson and Ray Paul

Simulation is a dynamic field of research and has contributed widely
to advances in science, industry and commerce.   This Special Issue is
dedicated to presenting some of the most significant advances in
recent simulation research and will be of interest to those involved
in simulation and to the general operational research community.
Contributions are particularly encouraged from recent advances and
innovations in modelling methods and technology, and application areas
such as business process re-engineering, emergency planning, health,
manufacturing, military, transportation, and telecommunications.


Submission of Papers 

Full details concerning paper submission can be found at

http://orsoc.org.uk/readme/publication/jors2.htm.  Note that
submissions should be sent to the co-ordinating editor in the first
instance rather than to the Editorial Office as specified in the
Information for Contributors. 

The closing date for submissions is 31st October 1998 and it is
expected that the special issue will appear towards the end of 1999.
