Hello,

the output of echoing INIT is "libespeak-ng.so.1: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory". Seems that I don't have the module installed. After installing the module spd-say works. It happened that Arch Wiki misses the guide to install speech synthesizer module. I will revise Wiki for that. Thanks for the help!

Hello,

Could you run

echo INIT | /usr/lib/speech-dispatcher/speech-dispatcher-modules/sd_espeak-ng

to see why it fails to load?
