Follow-up Comment #2, bug #25752 (project screen):
I use §° as command characters too (the Swedish keyboard layout has § to
the left of 1, where the US keyboard escape key is, and ° for its shifted
state). This works perfectly in non-UTF8 terminals (such as iso-8859-1 or
iso-8859-15), but bugs out on modern UTF8 systems. Even when starting screen
with -U! What needs doing where if nobody currently has any interest in this
bug?
