----

==== Description: ====
The scripts in this project allow people to build a rescue initial ramdisk
image on their running Debian system, that ---together with their current
kernel--- can be used to perform offline maintenance on the system, such as
resize filesystems, repair misconfigurations and so on.

The initrd can be transferred to a usb device and booted via syslinux, or just
stay on the hard disk and be picked up by the current bootloader.

The aim is to build an image that is as small as possible, and in sync with
the software currently installed on the system, in order to avoid any library
mismatch.
