==== Description: ====
This project is about Spectral Variational Integrators that are symplectic
methods useful to solve Hamiltonian's equations. The code is written for
Octave. These are spectral methods that use Legendre polynomials for the
function basis and Gauss quadrature rule for the numerical quadrature.
The style used tends to reproduce Matlab ode45 style.
So the function @spectralvarint takes as inputs the functionHandle describing
the Hamiltonian of the system, the vector of times, initial conditions (that
are generalized coordinates and generalized momenta), and some options.
The output variables are a time vector and a matrix containing calculated
coordinates and momenta. The program implements also a timestep-adaptivity on
the basis of Richardson extrapolation.
This function could be included in odepkg or in a new package created
specially for geometrical integrators.
