the noVnc project (input.js to be precise), which is LGPL2 and later licenced.

The author agreed it would be a good idea to develop a seperate library, so
the code could be used and shared by other javascript applications too.)

JSKeyLib is cross-browser javascript library with the main-purpose of
determining the keycode of a keyboard-event which is not provided in a
consistent way by browsers.

Functionality like this is required when writing javascript applications which
need access to keycode values like a html5-only vnc viewer or a javascript
openjdk AWT backend.
