==== Description: ====
BernoulliMix program package provides tools to work with finite mixture
models of multivariate Bernoulli distributions, also known as Bernoulli
mixtures.

The program package can be used for probabilistic modeling of 0-1 data. The
target audience includes researchers, teachers, and students in machine
learning and data mining.

The documentation written in Texinfo provides both technical details on how
to use the programs and the command-line options, and exercise for classroom
and assignment use in courses in data mining and machine learning. There are
example 0-1 datasets which can be used for trying out BernoulliMix. The
implementation has been written in C programming language.

There are so far about 900 downloads of BernoulliMix, it has been used in
classroom use for three years, with 100+ students using it and providing
feedback.

==== Other Comments: ====
The home page of the project is:
http://www.cis.hut.fi/jhollmen/BernoulliMix/

The distribution of the software is done through a cgi script which chooses
the
newest version of the software in a directory. No version control has been
used, which is accessible to users. The main motivation to use Savannah is to
enable other users to contribute and develop the package further and to
provide an accessible, public place for the documentation and the programs.
