Follow-up Comment #1:

Hi Ahmed -- nice to see this. Thanks for your work on the project. I
approved it, but please fix up the following minor issues:

- update the license paragraph in the README, as you have the other files.
(Maintaining the duplicated README.html doesn't seem necessary to me, FWIW;
better to just delete it.)

- all the files, including NEWS, ChangeLog, README, Makefile.am, and so on,
should have a license notice. You can use the GPL, or the simpler/shorter
license text at
http://www.gnu.org/prep/maintain/maintain.html#License-Notices-for-Other-Files.

- the gnulib project on savannah has newer version of many common files, such
as compile, INSTALL, config.guess, and so on. You can just copy in the ones
you use, for starters.

- FWIW, it didn't compile for me:
diw_map.c:60:28: error: X11/bitmaps/gray: No such file or directory

diw_map.c: In function 'init_diw_stuff':

diw_map.c:1749: error: 'gray_bits' undeclared (first use in this function)

Happy hacking,
Karl
