Description:

  `guile-reader' is an extension for Guile that aims at providing an
extensible reader framework.  The goal is to provide Guile users with a
simple mechanism to build new readers, preferably for Scheme-like syntaxes. 
One typical use is to instantiate readers with the user's preferred syntax
variants.  Because of this, this may be more powerful than, for instance,
SRFI-10 and Guile's limited customization capabilities of the built-in reader
(namely `read-enable' and `read-hash-extend').

At the same time, `guile-reader' makes its best to not compromise
performance.  Therefore, it uses GNU Lightning in order to generate efficient
reader code.
