Follow-up Comment #16, task #4483 (project administration): Hello. I really try to make it clear: "foobar is free software; you can redistribute it and/or modify it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation; either version 2, or (at your option) any later version." The author of the source files DON'T have the choice to make the decission of the version of the license. You only have got this choice if you want to REDISTRIBUTE and/or MODIFY the source files. The author should ALWAYS let this choice the users and/or other maintainers. That's why we prefer you always publish your files under "version 2 or any later version" of the GPL. So your source code can always be redistribute and/or modify under almost every version of the GPL. Maybe you see our point, maybe not. :) Be good _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/task/?func=detailitem&item_id=4483> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
