Description:
------------
  EFS -- Embedded FileSystem handler.

---------------------------------------

EFS is a FAT16/32-driver (will probably support more filesystems in the
future) that can currently be used (béta) on the following architectures:

    - DSP69xx series with SD-card connected to McBSP port.

    - AVR ATMega series with SD-card connected.

    - i386 running GNU/Linux as user-space FAT handler.

The project is written in C by two students of the The Hague University and
is ment to be used on various embedded systems. GNU/Linux support is used for
debugging, but can also be used as userspace FAT driver.

Currently the project is still in heavy development (2 people working full
time on it), so no time was spent licensing etc.

A current cvs-dump can be found at
http://flex.usermodelinux.be/~flecxie/efs.tar.bz2

A pdf containing some documentation (written about 2 months ago, so partly
out dated) can be found at
http://flex.usermodelinux.be/~flecxie/efs_inners.pdf

If you have any more questions, please feel free to mail me at
address@hidden

Other Software Required:
------------------------
No external libraries are used, only the compiler is needed:

- Linux: gcc + libc

- AVR: avr-gcc + avr-libc (https://savannah.nongnu.org/projects/avr-libc/)

- DSP: Ti Codecomposer (non-free)

When compiling on the DSP, there is also a bios added by the compiler that is
non-free.
