I think project members should be the one to tell you about it but we
can, indeed, send a note to you.

No. Not until they clarify the situation.

Well, there is supposedly a way to access mbox for gnu
maintainers. But this does no longer works and I have no replacement
solution. So we do no longer migrate mailing-list archives.
