The syntax described in that URL is not quite right.  The HTML has
  :ext:&lt;<a 
href="mailto:address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT";>address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT</a>&gt;
which displays as
  :ext:<address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT>
because of mailto:.  It should be just
  :ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/PROJECT

There used to be a wwwdocs tree available via
  cvs -d :pserver:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gcc co wwwdocs
Trying 
  CVS_RSH="ssh" cvs -z 9 -d :ext:address@hidden:/cvsroot/gcc co wwwdocs
does not find wwwdocs.  Has it moved?
  cvs server: cannot find module `wwwdocs' - ignored
