A package was submitted to savannah.gnu.org.
This mail was sent to address@hidden, address@hidden
Dario Rodriguez <address@hidden> described the package as follows:
License: gpl
Other License:
Package: onHandPC app kit
System name: onhandpc-kit
This package does NOT want to apply for inclusion in the GNU project
My project aims to create a full range of free applications (under GPL license
for the programs, LGPL for the libraries) for the onhandpc computer-watch
gadget. Much like the Opie project does for the iPaq. The programs are to be
developed using the GNU toolchain (using gcc as an MN10L200 cross-compiler) in
Linux.
For a description of the onhandpc (the hardware on which the applications
generated in this project will run) or its posibilities, you can visit the
following links:

The official site for the onHandPC

An onHandPC fan site (biased towards windows users)
http://grusched.sourceforge.net
Robert Zunino\'s schedule sync app for Linux
Despite it\'s incredible hardware, the software that comes with the watch is
just usable, but very dependant on a PC to do the housekeeping of the
information. This project wants to concentrate efforts to make the watch
useable by it\'s own as a computer, using free software.
Primary goals:
- A text editor (almost done)
- Enhanced addressbook (designing phase)
- Enhanced schedule (designing phase)
- Games: Mastermind, Othello, Fuego (done)
- A Linux simulation of the onHandPC implementation of the API to develop
entirely in the PC (almost done, using Linux GGI)
The application comes by the need for a site to host the project, as it phases
out from a one-man project to a community project.
It does not exist yet but I\'m working on it.
Regards,
Dario
