All information related to non-gnu projects will be available
under the domain name freesoftware.fsf.org. You decided for this name
two month ago.
I had forgotten all about that name. The strange thing is that the
other people did not remember it either.
Can we set it up so that freesoftware.gnu.org does NOT work? In other
words, are the two domains gnu.org and fsf.org aliases, or do they
have independent definitions which have been updated in sync until
now?
Since non-gnu.fsf.org is so much shorter than freesoftware.fsf.org,
we might want to support that too.
A ready freesoftware.fsf.org -> savannah.gnu.org
(http virtual host)
B mail.freesoftware.fsf.org -> fencepost.gnu.org
(http virtual host + separate mailman installation)
C ready cvs.freesoftware.fsf.org -> subversions.gnu.org
(exactly the same)
D ftp.freesoftware.fsf.org -> ftp.gnu.org
(root is the /non-gnu/ directory that already exists in
ftp.gnu.org)
B requires some non trivial work and Guillaume + Miguel are working
on it. D requires work and Mark + myself are working on it.
It sounds like good progress. Which Miguel is this?
For me, "Miguel" normally means Miguel de Icaza.
Perhaps we had better stop using first names.
What's left to be done ? Technically the mail and the ftp server.
Other than this I don't see. Could you help me find out ?
It is good news that we are already this close. I hadn't seen
progress reports since the previous discussion.
