I made this modification on Savannah recently because I thought the short 
description field is not long enough and visistors could be nefit from the 
longer description that is often given at registration time.

So if this not a good thing to diplay it (which I understand) it is just a 
mater of removing the [More information] link in project_home.php and that's it 
I think.

I am in a part of the Xerox Intranet right now that makes it difficult for me 
to access the CVS repo. So if Mathieu wants to make the modification he is 
welcome.

Original Submission:  The project description submitted when the project was 
proposed to Savannah is archived and unmodified. It serves as a reference 
describing the original intented purpose of the project. It must not be 
modified by the user. Since the description may not be good to read and the 
project developers have no way to modify it, it must not be displayed.

shows that it was fixed. There still is the "Other comments" field that roughly 
has the same status.
