OK, that makes sense. i could see in how many different places you had to
remove it.

implement this. Message hiding is only one of many forms of
moderation, having special cases sprinkled throughout the code for
each of these is a nightmare to maintain. I agree with your argument
that moderation log is not enough, we need to have in-place moderation
traces which will make it more obvious that this particular view
(thread, blog, whatever) was changed by moderators.
