[Rule-list] emacs

Hi,

I know nothing about emacs. If I tried to install it I wouldn't know if it 
was working or not.

Does anyone know what it would take to install emacs on a slinky 
install? It has always been the intent that the rule standard install 
would include both emacs and vi.

We need to be able to install emacs for text mode only. I understand 
there is also a gnome install. We want the install someone would 
use without X.
