Details:

While trying to make a Git commit on a project using the template, I got a
metastore crash because of not finding `libbsd'. Upon further inspection, I
found out that metastore doesn't store rpath and was thus using the host's
`libbsd'. 

I am busy adding rpath to metastore now.
