Details:
GCC 9.1 was released
<https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/info-gnu/2019-05/msg00002.html> on Friday
and because of its many new features (specially in optimization to make
compiled code faster and better), it is "the most exciting GCC compiler
updates in years
<https://www.phoronix.com/scan.php?page=news_item&px=GCC-9.1-Compiler-Released>".
I am testing its build now on my system and will merge it into the template
after it completes on my GNU/Linux.
This is mainly just a note for everyone, so when you pull recent work in the
template, building the new GCC will take some time.
If you don't need it, you can set it back to the old version in your project
before reconfiguring (by modifying
`reproduce/software/config/installation/version.mk').
